by Montse Luna @lunitainthesky 4.5 Stars What is it about? Thousands of years from now, after what's called the Sixty Minute War, resources are limited and cities are now mobile. They "eat" other cities, and take whatever they can from them, including their citizens as slaves. And it's in one of these cities, London to be exact, that Tom Natsworthy lives. He grew up in the Museum, raised by the historians, and dreams of becoming one of them. Then, there's Hester Shaw, a young mysterious girl seeking revenge for her parents' death. And unexpectedly they get together in the greatest adventure of their lives (especially for Tom, who's always dreamed of the day he was part of one) *I'll stop there, before I ruin anything. I went into the book not really knowing much about the plot, and it was the most beautiful experience, living the adventure along Tom and Hester* REVIEW: I FREAKING LOVED IT! From the first page, the author takes you to this world, and shows you everything with such detail, you feel part of it. I felt like I could see Tom working at the Museum, and went with him through his journey. It was easy to feel close to both the main characters, and relate to them in some ways, because they felt real. I loved their friendship. Two characters who were so flawed and different, and so unlikely to become friends if it wasn't for the situation they were in, yet, seeing it happen, it's beautiful. Plus, the words take you to all these different places, that even though you've never visited, they're so clear to imagine and transport yourself to. I know it's supposed to be a "kids/teens" series, but you're never too old for this kind of stories, and to let your imagination flow. I'm a proud 28 year old fangirl of Mortal Engines. 100% recommend EVERYONE to read this series, especially before the movie comes out. where can you get it?
