We were thrilled that Delpaneaux Wills actor in Bad Samaritan agreed to answer some questions about the film. He was very careful to avoid spoilers. Enjoy!
Can you tell us something about the character you play in Bad Samaritan without giving too much away?
I play the role of Officer Aguilar in BAD SAMARITAN. As an officer in BAD SAMARITAN, my partner and I try to capture the burglars played by Robert Sheehan and Carlito Olivera. We also do other things in the film, but I can not say anything about that now.
How many weeks were you involved in shooting the film and was the weather a big problem during the shoot?
I worked on the film off and on for about a month. Yes, weather was a big problem during the film shoot. I think it was a problem mainly during the months October through January. We filmed in Oregon, when there was a record breaking snowfall that hit the state. A lot of snow was not common for Oregon at that time, but it made for great scenes in the film.
Did you have any scenes with Robert and/or David Tennant and what did you learn from them?
Well, yes, I had scenes with both David and Robert. I learned so much from working with both of them. Both very talented. I also really loved how professional and attentive to detail David was and how he was so giving as an actor.
Can you describe the film in three words?
Dark Twisted Thriller
What other character would you like to have played in the film if not your own?
No. I love my character of Officer Aguilar.
Any funny incidents while filming?
Wow, there were a lot of things, but I remember the work trucks sliding down the hill from all the ice and snow on the roads. Things like that.
Have you worked with any of the actors or crew before or since and do you keep in touch?
Yes, recently I worked on the TNT drama THE LIBRARIANS which is produced by Dean Devlin, the same producer of the film BAD SAMARITAN. I also worked with some of the same crew members from BAD SAMARITAN on THE LIBRARIANS.
Do you have a preference for working in TV or film?
I love working in both TV and film. I really don't have a preference.
Did you enjoy working in Portland?
Yes, I love working in Portland. I have a lot of family that live in Oregon and the northwest. Every time I work in Portland, it's like going home again.
The film will release in May. Is there a message you hope people will get from it ( if you can answer without spoilers! )
No not really. I just hope a lot of people go and see BAD SAMARITAN in May!
What are you working on now and what projects are upcoming?
In the next couple months I will be appearing in the TV show CODE BLACK on CBS and AMERICAN CRIME STORY : VERSACE on FX. I also have a supporting role in the film BACKSEAT, a film the rise of VP Dick Cheney. BACKSEAT stars Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carrell, Bill Pullman and list of other great actors. Later on this year, I am slated to start work on the film "Harvest Moon". I was just recently cast in the film SEASON OF RAGE.
