THREE SUMMERS Review

Hi! Been asked by the 'Hab as I think you call yourselves to do a quick review of Three Summers. Here we go but no spoilers is difficult!

THE FILM

Basically it's great! Feel-good Rom Com but with a lotta Aussie-based issues. The music and scenery are great and the script is SO funny!

The two main stars Rob and Rebecca are so good. From what little I know of Rob (before now anyway!) he's very funny in real life. Here he plays a bit of a know-all serious guy with two unusual jobs. Rebecca is his exact opposite. Full of fun and they shouldn't really get on. And they take their time but they do in the end. (Not too spoilery?)

The Aussie actors are great. Magda is hilarious as Queenie and Michael Caton is fun too!

You get music, scenery, two gorgeous leads and Aussie issues. What's not to like. Hope you all get to see it soon folks!

AFTER PARTY

Busy, fun and with a huge swarm of fans round Robert. God knows how many pics people have. He seemed to reduce most people to a gibbering wreck. Must be the eyes! Anyway he was happy to have multiple pics taken & Rebecca was lovely too.

Going to the Q and A today. Should be fun!

Night people

Love from beautiful Melbourne.

TMI LA Premiere & That Suit!!

So it was the LA Premiere of The Mortal Instruments  - City of Bones last night & Robbie's suit seems to have caused quite a stir!! It would appear to be the Marmite of the suit world!

The suit, from London-based designers Dent De Man, is a hit with the fashion world - Red Carpet Fashion Awards had this to say...
Robert Sheehan stood head-and-shoulders above everyone else when he took to the red carpet at the ArcLight Theatre in Hollywood for the ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ LA premiere.

The Irish actor wore a paisley-printed suit from London-based designers Dent De Man, who are known for their classic menswear with a modern unique twist using mostly classic African fabrics.

The chocolate suit with a bold blue paisley print was styled with a white button-up shirt with a gold collar-chain accent and, following in the footsteps of many celebs, he opted for white wingtip shoes with a blue platform.

His curly tresses just add to the overall allure of this look. Very Justin Timberlake – the ‘N Sync years.

You may remember that Labrinth was the first to bring this brand to the red carpet when he wore a Dent De Man suit to the 2013 Brit Awards.

The Fashion Court also had this to say...
WHO: Robert Sheehan
WHERE & WHEN: “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” Los Angeles Premiere on August 12, 2013.
WEARING: Dent de Man suit, Del Toro shoes

MY VERDICT: You’re probably thinking: “Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or did Robert seriously hit the black carpet tonight for “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” wearing one of the best printed suits ever?” Well, yes—yes, he did. The 25-year-old Irish actor was oh-so-fashion forward at the Hollywood premiere of his new movie while donned in a Dent de Man Spring 2014 chocolate and aqua paisley printed jacket and trousers with flecks of gold.

It was loud, it was unexpected, and it was so-so-so-good. I love it when men embrace a little fashion creativity and are willing to take risks, because sometimes they pay off—like right now. What Robert wore may not be a pattern most guys could pull off, but his confidence is clear and that’s what makes it even better.

Robert took his look a stylish step further by breaking up the print with a white dress shirt, gold collar chain clip, and a ridiculously cool pair of white Del Toro wingtip shoes with bright blue detail. Oh, and he’s totally rocking those curls too. #JustSayin’
The Irish Independent weren't so keen mind you, likening his style to Hugh Hefner!! I'd quite happily be a bunny in Rob's mansion haha!! Here's the write up...
THE Love/Hate actor took fashion inspiration from the Playboy publisher at last night's LA premiere of his new film.

IFTA-winner Robert Sheehan certainly doesn't play by anybody else's fashion rules. The quirky actor, who shot to fame as Darren Tracey in RTE smash gangland drama Love/Hate, is making waves in Hollywood and joined a host of young stars for last night's premiere of The Mortal instruments: City of Bones.

And while it marks his biggest movie role to date, Robert isn't sticking to anyone else's red carpet rules. Sheehan wore a paisley printed silk suit, a buttoned up white shirt with a gold chain, and his trademark curly hair was styled neatly.

The Portlaoise native today told of the intense audition process he went through the secure his role in ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’.

He said that the director Harald Zwart didn’t think Rob was geeky enough for the part of bookworm Simon, best friend to female lead Clary, played by Lily Collins.

“The director first thought I might be too ‘cool’ to play a guy who spent his childhood buried in books. I had to convince him, and the producers, that I could be geeky enough. I badgered my way into a screen test in Toronto,” said that 25-year-old, in an interview with this week’s RTE Guide.

Rob, who shocked Irish TV audiences last December when his character Darren on Stuart Carolan’s gangland hit was murdered in the series climax, said that he prepared intensely to land the gig on ‘The Mortal Instruments’.

The movie is due out in the autumn and has been tipped as the next ‘Twilight’ phenomenon.

The Irish heartthrob is signed up to appear in three of the instalments, with the second film scheduled to begin filming in September.

“The powers-that-be had enough faith to green-light it before seeing how the first one fares,” he said.

Personally, I loved the suit. There's not many men who could carry off such a bold style, but Robert certainly can. Can't wait to see what he wears to the other premieres!!
