THREE SUMMERS Review

Hi! Been asked by the 'Hab as I think you call yourselves to do a quick review of Three Summers. Here we go but no spoilers is difficult!

THE FILM

Basically it's great! Feel-good Rom Com but with a lotta Aussie-based issues. The music and scenery are great and the script is SO funny!

The two main stars Rob and Rebecca are so good. From what little I know of Rob (before now anyway!) he's very funny in real life. Here he plays a bit of a know-all serious guy with two unusual jobs. Rebecca is his exact opposite. Full of fun and they shouldn't really get on. And they take their time but they do in the end. (Not too spoilery?)

The Aussie actors are great. Magda is hilarious as Queenie and Michael Caton is fun too!

You get music, scenery, two gorgeous leads and Aussie issues. What's not to like. Hope you all get to see it soon folks!

AFTER PARTY

Busy, fun and with a huge swarm of fans round Robert. God knows how many pics people have. He seemed to reduce most people to a gibbering wreck. Must be the eyes! Anyway he was happy to have multiple pics taken & Rebecca was lovely too.

Going to the Q and A today. Should be fun!

Night people

Love from beautiful Melbourne.

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS : CITY OF ASHES POSTPONED?!

9/21/2013

Yes, its devastating I know but never fear we may still have a vampire Simon to come! It is postponed NOT cancelled according to the movie officials.
- The Wrap
The decision to delay “City of Ashes” was made several days ago after
Constantin spoke with its international distributors at the Toronto
International Film Festival, Moszkowicz told TheWrap. While Constantin is
committed to making the sequel, the company did not want to rush into production
with an unfinished screenplay, preferring to take the time to get right.

— Martin Moszkowicz (@mmoszkowicz)
I have the utmost respect for the #tmi fandom. we want to make CoA right. we will
make good use of the time.
-Cassandra Clare (@CassieClare
Speaking for myself —and honestly, for readers and fans, too — I think a
delay could be good. The draft of the screenplay I saw for the first time last
week was very far from the book City of Ashes, and if they’d
really started shooting in September there wouldn’t have been time to change it.
From the limited amount I know, it seems to me better to take the time to get it
right than to rush ahead.
So what do you think?

THE BRENDAN SHEEHAN EXPERIENCE!

8/19/2013

Well, we aren't called "The Sheehab" for nothing! After my AMAZING experience of "casually"  bumping into Robbie's brother on Grafton street, we've now realized that the Sheester love also extends to his brother Bren! I have to be honest I'm probably not the only one who was a tincy bit scared of him, you know with him being a body builder and six foot five! But I have to say overall, he was a gentleman, very genuine and sweet. (Even while standing in the rain!)
I've been meaning to explain to you all exactly how I met him but I've been so star struck and distracted the last couple of days, that it was near impossible to keep still and recall everything that happened!
Gosh, I don't even know how to start. It was a normal Saturday I suppose, I was doing the usual rounds on Facebook and twitter, sheestering like mad! I got a message from me fellow head Sheester, Erinn, telling me Rob was in Dublin! So of course I started researching, asking fellow Sheesters what the story was. It appeared at the time, that he was on Irish radio that morning and was planning to go out with mates that night in Dublin. So as any good Sheester knows, Robs usually in Lilies, various other hideouts and has been spotted by many strolling up and down Grafton street! As I was unable to attend the apple store TMI Q&A that Rob would be at on Monday, I jumped (Literally!) at the chance to meet him in Dublin!
And so began the hours journey to the city, I had my City Of Bones book and fully charged phone to get some photos. I was trying stay positive, I know its a huge city but if so many people had casually met him in Grafton street while they weren't even looking for him, it was impossible for me to miss him! It turns out anyway my eyes aren't just finely tuned to spotting the Robster, I can spot a certain Sheehan family member a street away too!
We had only gotten out of the car and were strolling down some street perpendicular to Grafton street when I saw him. It was a very busy day, people rushing by shopping bags in hand but for a Sheester you could spot those curls anywhere! I knew straight away it was his brother! I was following him on twitter and knew what he looked like and besides, he's the spitting image of Robbie!!
I freaked out as usual, shouting, jumping up and down and pointing like a maniac who had escaped from a mental home!! Of course, I got some queer looks but there was no way I was letting this opportunity pass me by! I'm quite sure Bren saw me from across the street, gapping at him like an idiot. So away I went in pursuit of Bren in the hope of maybe leading me to Robbie! I know that sounds stalkerish but you all would have done the same, plus I wanted to meet Bren too!  He pops into a internet café/ salon and my hopes are extinguished. Don't get me wrong being so close to anything Robbie related is a true blessing but I knew I couldn't follow him up! He had already spotted me!!
So we waited and waited but there was a problem. It started raining and I really needed to pee! Eventually we had no other choice but to go in! I headed up the narrow windy stairs and then found the first bathroom I could. My mam was waiting outside, looking about for him which wasn't much good since she didn't even know what he looked like! "Rob!" was what I told her to look for!
While I was in the bathroom there was a knock on the door. "Rachel was he wearing a black top and shorts?" yeah I replied, still sitting on the toilet mind you. "Oh well he's just passed, he's going down the stairs.." I swear, I've never moved so quick in my life! I flew down the stairs and once I got to the top of the last flight sure enough there was little Bren at the bottom! He was pulling on a blue hoodie (Coincidence?) and again I started to freak! he was right there! Brendan Sheehan! Robbie's brother!
He saw me and my mam then and i'll tell you he must have been well creeped out cause he pulled up his hood and flew out the door!! I was unsure of what to do so my mam took lead and we both chased up the street after him!
"Excuse me! Are you Brendan?!
"Yeah"
"Brendan Sheehan?!
"Yeah"
"Robbie's Broth-"
"Yeah"
That was pretty much how the introduction went. I'm not sure what exactly was said after that but somehow or another we got talking about if Rob was in town.
"Is he here?"
"No, no he's not. He's away in Berlin or Germany or something. He's promoting for that new movie, City Of Bones."
"oh he's not? We thought he was. Rachel heard something about him being on the radio this morning"
"Oh, he was probably being interviewed from abroad."
"ah yeah".
He did mention that Robbie could be home within the next week or so.... Keep your eyes peeled Dublin Sheesters!! And somehow we got a photo taken with him. He was a bit shocked to be asked for a photo but was glad to see we were such big fans . (His phone even went off in his pocket while we were chatting and he ignored it!!)
Picture
It was a windy day and my hair got a bit excited ( Or maybe from meeting Bren?) and decided to blow into my face and make it look like I had a uni brow... yeah thanks for that. But Bren looked amazeballs! You cant see it in the photo but his eyes are the same shape as Robbie's and are
a summers sky blue with some clouds mixed together and with little flecks of gold thrown in. Beautiful! And don't get me started on the hair... need I say anymore?
Picture
And my mom also decided to take a photo of his hand... I'm just kidding.
Picture
So anyway through all that excitement we still managed to talk about Robs scandalously awesome outfit at the TMI LA premiere and of course, The Sheehab.
Bren: Did you see his outfit at the La Premiere?
Me: yeah!
Bren : He's one snazzy mofo!
I have to say that sums Robbie up quite well haha!!
Picture
So we asked Bren did he know about The Sheehab and listen to this, he did! I was
delighted! My mam told him that I was involved with it and he seemed really
impressed! We were even graced by a follow from him!  (Fan made posters for the TMI Apple store event in London! Love our Sheesters!)

I have to say, that day was one of the best of my life so far. Will never be forgotten! Thank you so so so much Bren if your reading this!! The Sheesters love you!! Mwahhh!!

TMI LA Premiere & That Suit!!

8/13/2013

Picture
So it was the LA Premiere of The Mortal Instruments  - City of Bones last night & Robbie's suit seems to have caused quite a stir!! It would appear to be the Marmite of the suit world!

The suit, from London-based designers Dent De Man, is a hit with the fashion world - Red Carpet Fashion Awards had this to say...
Robert Sheehan stood head-and-shoulders above everyone else when he took to the red carpet at the ArcLight Theatre in Hollywood for the ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ LA premiere.

The Irish actor wore a paisley-printed suit from London-based designers Dent De Man, who are known for their classic menswear with a modern unique twist using mostly classic African fabrics.

The chocolate suit with a bold blue paisley print was styled with a white button-up shirt with a gold collar-chain accent and, following in the footsteps of many celebs, he opted for white wingtip shoes with a blue platform.

His curly tresses just add to the overall allure of this look. Very Justin Timberlake – the ‘N Sync years.

You may remember that Labrinth was the first to bring this brand to the red carpet when he wore a Dent De Man suit to the 2013 Brit Awards.

The Fashion Court also had this to say...
WHO: Robert Sheehan
WHERE & WHEN: “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” Los Angeles Premiere on August 12, 2013.
WEARING: Dent de Man suit, Del Toro shoes

MY VERDICT: You’re probably thinking: “Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or did Robert seriously hit the black carpet tonight for “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” wearing one of the best printed suits ever?” Well, yes—yes, he did. The 25-year-old Irish actor was oh-so-fashion forward at the Hollywood premiere of his new movie while donned in a Dent de Man Spring 2014 chocolate and aqua paisley printed jacket and trousers with flecks of gold.

It was loud, it was unexpected, and it was so-so-so-good. I love it when men embrace a little fashion creativity and are willing to take risks, because sometimes they pay off—like right now. What Robert wore may not be a pattern most guys could pull off, but his confidence is clear and that’s what makes it even better.

Robert took his look a stylish step further by breaking up the print with a white dress shirt, gold collar chain clip, and a ridiculously cool pair of white Del Toro wingtip shoes with bright blue detail. Oh, and he’s totally rocking those curls too. #JustSayin’
The Irish Independent weren't so keen mind you, likening his style to Hugh Hefner!! I'd quite happily be a bunny in Rob's mansion haha!! Here's the write up...
THE Love/Hate actor took fashion inspiration from the Playboy publisher at last night's LA premiere of his new film.

IFTA-winner Robert Sheehan certainly doesn't play by anybody else's fashion rules. The quirky actor, who shot to fame as Darren Tracey in RTE smash gangland drama Love/Hate, is making waves in Hollywood and joined a host of young stars for last night's premiere of The Mortal instruments: City of Bones.

And while it marks his biggest movie role to date, Robert isn't sticking to anyone else's red carpet rules. Sheehan wore a paisley printed silk suit, a buttoned up white shirt with a gold chain, and his trademark curly hair was styled neatly.

The Portlaoise native today told of the intense audition process he went through the secure his role in ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’.

He said that the director Harald Zwart didn’t think Rob was geeky enough for the part of bookworm Simon, best friend to female lead Clary, played by Lily Collins.

“The director first thought I might be too ‘cool’ to play a guy who spent his childhood buried in books. I had to convince him, and the producers, that I could be geeky enough. I badgered my way into a screen test in Toronto,” said that 25-year-old, in an interview with this week’s RTE Guide.

Rob, who shocked Irish TV audiences last December when his character Darren on Stuart Carolan’s gangland hit was murdered in the series climax, said that he prepared intensely to land the gig on ‘The Mortal Instruments’.

The movie is due out in the autumn and has been tipped as the next ‘Twilight’ phenomenon.

The Irish heartthrob is signed up to appear in three of the instalments, with the second film scheduled to begin filming in September.

“The powers-that-be had enough faith to green-light it before seeing how the first one fares,” he said.

Personally, I loved the suit. There's not many men who could carry off such a bold style, but Robert certainly can. Can't wait to see what he wears to the other premieres!!

Nice interview in the August issue of Aer Lingus in flight magazine, Cara.

As far as his favourites go, the man has taste!! Alt J's album is well worth a listen & Asimov's Foundation Trilogy is a brilliant (if very geeky!) piece of work! Warning - that Chvrches remix of Hurricane by Ms Mr is SERIOUSLY catchy!!

Robert And TMI Cast AT comic con

7/25/2013

Robert joined the TMI cast for Comic Con in San Diego, Friday 19th of July. The fandom was in full force watching the likes of Lily Collins, Kevin zegers, Godfrey Gao, Cassandra Clare, Jamie Campbell Bower and of course, Robert Sheehan strut their stuff at Comic Con. We learned from the MTV interview that Robert really is a nerd like his character Simon Lewis as he showed off his pretty impressive movie knowledge and that he wants his own personal stalker! *Ahem!*

"( There's) No one going through my rubbish or any of that just yet, I'm hoping to acquire a stalker, it would make me feel loved."
He also adds in the interview that there is a twist in the
movie - The mortal Instruments: City Of Bones - where his character
becomes a drag queen.
" And it turns out Simon's a drag queen. Simon gets right dragged up onto the stage right before the credits and just goes, "This is the new me, I'm now Tina Lewis!" We've changed it slightly from the book. Fans, deal with it!".
Robert looked stunning in a white cotton shirt with a cute little dickey bow to
top it off! A maroon coloured bracelet and of course, the famous
velvet shoes! We're also glad to see the curls back too!!
Let us know what you thought about this in the comments!

MTV Interview at SDCC

Robbie & the rest of the cast of The Mortal Instruments were at Comic Con last week to promote the movie. There were loads of interviews & videos surfacing, but it's this one that really got me excited. In short, Robbie is an actual nerd. I find this way hotter than I should. He also is on the lookout for a stalker to make him feel loved  - I'm obviously not putting enough hours in, time to ramp it up a notch (joke!!). He said that we're not going through his bins yet, I'm saying nothing haha! And he admitted that he likes an older woman, there may be hope for me yet lol!! Give it a watch & let me know what you think in the comments :) I'll be posting more over the next few days.
