THREE SUMMERS Review

Hi! Been asked by the 'Hab as I think you call yourselves to do a quick review of Three Summers. Here we go but no spoilers is difficult!

THE FILM

Basically it's great! Feel-good Rom Com but with a lotta Aussie-based issues. The music and scenery are great and the script is SO funny!

The two main stars Rob and Rebecca are so good. From what little I know of Rob (before now anyway!) he's very funny in real life. Here he plays a bit of a know-all serious guy with two unusual jobs. Rebecca is his exact opposite. Full of fun and they shouldn't really get on. And they take their time but they do in the end. (Not too spoilery?)

The Aussie actors are great. Magda is hilarious as Queenie and Michael Caton is fun too!

You get music, scenery, two gorgeous leads and Aussie issues. What's not to like. Hope you all get to see it soon folks!

AFTER PARTY

Busy, fun and with a huge swarm of fans round Robert. God knows how many pics people have. He seemed to reduce most people to a gibbering wreck. Must be the eyes! Anyway he was happy to have multiple pics taken & Rebecca was lovely too.

Going to the Q and A today. Should be fun!

Night people

Love from beautiful Melbourne.

The Wars of the Roses – Thank you!

Now that the epic 'The Wars of the Roses' is coming to an end in Kingston, The Sheehab would like to say a few thank-yous.

First, to the whole cast who did such an incredible job in all three plays and who took the audience with them on their epic journey (often for nine hours, and to the point of emotional exhaustion, and that's just the audience!). A never-to-be-forgotten experience. Special mentions to Rufus Hound, Imogen Daines, Joely Richardson, Alex Waldmann, Kare Conradi and Alex Hanson, although this list could easily include the whole cast.
(An unforgettable, surreal experience indeed, after which I can even say "I shushed Henry VI"! @Sheehangroupie)

Grateful thanks to the lovely Owen Oakeshott who was so helpful to us and to whom nothing was too much trouble. We LOVED all the blogs! Actor, writer, autograph hunter - is there nothing that man can't do well! In fact he gained the gratitude of Erinn to such an extent that on her second visit Rob was not the only one showered with 'giftys'! The Owen Oakeshott Appreciation Society is surely only a matter of time!
(I do refer to Erinn as "Owen's groupie" now! @Sheehangroupie)

To Michael Xavier who we couldn't believe had never done Shakespeare before. Superb performance as the Duke of Clarence, and whatever roles he plays in the future, 'Sexy Suffolk' is the part he will forever be known for at The 'Hab'! Also courier and GPS extraordinaire. Anyone for a 'Sexy Suffolk' Fan Club?!
(That is true, Erinn & Co. followed him like a GPS to find their way to the theatre, which gave us time to bond before trilogy day! He didn't even run away when a weird lady - might have been me - asked him to deliver gifts to her medieval imaginary husband! And as we all agreed he has a remarkable, sexy voice, the Hab officially adopted him! @Sheehangroupie)

And last, but by no means least, to Robert Sheehan whose performances as Richard III, if we're being honest, took us to Kingston in the first place. (The clue's in the name, Shee-Hab!). He was showered with so many 'dubious' gifts that he had to thank us twice! Above all else (and there's plenty else!) a brilliant actor. His Richard III (or 'Misshapen Dick' as Erinn persists in calling him) has been added high on our 'all-time favourites' list of Rob-performances (and God knows we've had a few to choose from.) Great 'actoring' Rob. Hope to see you back on stage soon!
(We will be eternally grateful to Sir Trevor Nunn for his brilliant, brilliant idea to serve to us our favorite actor on this magnificent silver platter! @Sheehangroupie)

We've all had a blast, we're all nearly bankrupt, travelling from far and wide and at ungodly hours to watch The Wars of The Roses, often more than once. Would we do it all again? You betcha!
(Oh I would fly back to England and go bankrupt again any day, my only regret was watching the trilogy only twice! @Sheehangroupie)

So thanks to all involved it's been emotional, and not just on stage!!!
Love from The Sheehab Xxx
